It is the 80th Anniversary of the Halloween Eve broadcast that would go down in infamy, and propel its director into putting together the (arguably) greatest American film ever made.

From the people who brought you Citizen Kane (Orson Welles), Casablanca (Howard Koch), and Psycho (Bernard Hermann serves as Welles’ orchestra leader). Assembled talent that would become synonymous with “Hollywood,” first took their stab at terrifying a nation wirelessly.
